Major celebrations held in the main square. At midnight on the dot, a large bonfire is lit to burn last year’s Niballo, a large puppet which symbolises adversity. The various districts have stands where it is possible to savour different gastronomic specialities, and in particular "bisò", a mulled wine with flavours and spices served in characteristic Majolica "gotti" decorated by Faenza’s masters.

The five districts are: White (Borgo Durbecco), Yellow (Porta Ponte), Black (Porta Ravegnana), Red (Porta Imolese), Green (Porta Montanara). In the times of the Manfredi family, a medieval noble family of Faenza, these constituted the Municipality’s military structure.
